The second inauguration of President Barack Obama has been completed in a private ceremony today, but the public swearing-in is still set for tomorrow featuring a parade for the 57th inauguration of a U.S. president.

The Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC) has confirmed new details about the Inaugural Parade set to happen after President Obama's public swearing-in tomorrow, Jan. 21.

The parade will feature eight floats, 60 groups, marching bands, and military units representing the U.S.'s Armed Forces.

"In total, more than 8,800 people and close to 200 animals will take part in the parade that follows President Obama and Vice President Biden from the Capitol down Pennsylvania Avenue after the swearing-in ceremony," noted the PIC.

The parade is scheduled to start at 2:30 p.m. EST.

The PIC has also release the planned order of the parade, although last minute changes are possible:

  • The Presidential Escort: The Presidential Escort is a military and civilian formation that escorts the President, Vice President, and their families from the Capitol to the White House following the swearing-in ceremony. The escort will include representatives from the five branches of the United States Military, elected officials, and local and national law enforcement organizations.
