This weekend, Washington D.C. will plunge into a weekend-long celebration for the beginning of President Barack Obama's second term in office, which will culminate on Mon., Jan. 21 for the president's public ceremonial swearing-in.

Among the celebrations, the Presidential Inauguration Committee (PIC) will host the National Service Day Summit on the National Mall.

On Tuesday, the committee announced the summit's performers and speakers. Former first daughter Chelsea Clinton will serve as the National Day of Service Honorary Chair along with PIC Co-Chair and actress Eva Longoria. Among the day's speakers and performers are singer Ben Folds, Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden, actress Angela Bassett, Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter, and the World Children's Choir.

Television personality Star Jones, Iraq War veteran Tammy Duckworth, and gospel singer Yolanda Adams will also be at the day's celebration.

According to a statement released by the PIC, "each speaker will highlight one of the seven themes of service: community, resilience, economic development, education, environment, faith, health and veterans and military families."

PIC also announced that close to 100 service organizations will be at the event performing service projects and training volunteers.

The committee's spokeswoman Addie Whisenant said, "We could not be more excited that so many distinguished Americans are answering the President and Vice President's call to serve. The service fair on the National mall will undoubtedly capture the spirit of shared commitment and ongoing service so important to President Obama, Vice President Biden and their families."

The first National Day of Service was held in 2009 during the weekend of President Obama's first Inauguration Day.
