The Google-branded LG Nexus 4 handset has been noticeably absent from Google Play, and has left many Android fans and would-be buyers frustrated. A recent statement from LG indicates that factories are up and producing Nexus 4s without a hitch, which begs the question, "Where is the Nexus 4?"
In an interview with Korean news outlet Chosun Biz, an LG official indicated that Nexus 4 supplies should be picking up in 2013.
"Domestic Pyeongtaek plant in Nexus 4 has been produced without a hitch. There is no problem in supplying ," the LG official said, according to a Google translation from Korean.
Google Play stores around the world are still reading "out of stock," but let's hope that the LG exec is right in stating that the handsets are shipping out in a more constant flow.

The statement hopefully squashes any credence a previous rumor stating that LG was shutting down Nexus 4 production had.
The Nexus 4 has been repeatedly going out of stock, with its latest hiatus being its longest. After consumers grew antsy, Google even took to blaming LG for the supply shortage.
"Supplies from the manufacturer are scarce and erratic, and our communication has been flawed," Google's UK and Ireland managing director Dan Cobley said on Google Plus.
The Nexus 4 has been in high demand due to its affordable price and relatively impressive specs. For $300, customers get an unlocked smartphone running the latest version of Android at any given moment due to it being a Google device. Still, if these kinds of supply shortages continue, it'll be hard to keep many from purchasing other handsets.
