Update**: Some readers are reporting that the Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy Note has not yet started rolling out, even in Poland. But Android Geeks, which broke the story, still hasn't redacted its original article. Due to the lack of evidence against pulling the story (thanks to conflicting reports across the web and our location here in NYC), it stands as is. Keep in mind that companies sometimes accidentally let loose a new upgrade (Verizon Motorola Droid RAZR owners in the United States know this well) so there is a chance that the somebody grabbed it off the air before everybody else. Either way, Jelly Bean's arrival on the Galaxy Note is imminent - why else would a multi-billion dollar, international company put up a webpage detailing the upgrade?

Update**: It has essentially been confirmed that the Galaxy Note, even in Poland, has not started receiving Jelly Bean. The update should roll out over the coming weeks.

Samsung Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Note owners went disappointed in 2012 as their respective Jelly Bean updates were nowhere to be seen, but 2013 brings some good news: it looks like Samsung has started releasing Android Jelly Bean for the original phablet.

The Android 4.1.2 upgrade applies to Galaxy Note model N7000, the original international variant. Galaxy Note owner Novak informed Android Greeks that Android 4.1.2 can now be downloaded in Poland via Samsung KIES.

"Hi guys, I thought you'd like to know that Android 4.1.2 is now available in Poland. I was able to download and install the software update on my Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 via KIES. I'll send you some screenshots as soon as I return home," Novak wrote to Android Geeks

Android 4.1.2 for the Galaxy Note gives the handset plenty of Jelly Bean goodies such as Project Butter, which improves system performance, and Google Now, a voice assistant many prefer to Siri. Samsung has also included the Premium Suite upgrade alongside Jelly Bean. Premium Suite gives the Galaxy Note many of the features previously only found on the Galaxy Note 2 such as Multi-Window. Premium Suite also comes with new S-Pen optimized apps and TouchWiz gestures.

U.S. Galaxy Note owners will (once again) have to wait longer for Android 4.1.2 to hit their smartphones. The upgrade listed above doesn't apply to LTE variants in America, and carriers will determine the rollout schedule based on how long it takes for them to fill it bloatware, approve, then distribute it over the air.

Let us know if you're able to install the official Jelly Bean update on your Galaxy Note and where you're located.
