Samsung made several announcements during the eve of the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), from television, cameras, to the confirmation of the Galaxy Note 10.1 expanding to a U.S. carrier.
During the CES 2013 presentation, the South Korean-based company announced it will have their Galaxy Note 10.1 with Verizon Wireless and with their 4G LTE Mobile Broadband network.
The Galaxy Note 10.1 features a high-definition screen with 1,280x800 pixel resolution, runs on the Android version 4.1 operating system - known as the Jelly Bean, utilizes the 1.4 GHz quad-core processor, five-megapixel rear-facing camera, and a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera.
The notable feature of the Galaxy Note 10.1 is the S Pen, which boasts 1,024 levels of pressure sensitivity and initiates S Pen apps such as Adobe, Photoshop Touch, Polaris Office, and Kno.
A precise date has not been set but it will be available "in the coming weeks" before the end of January.
At the CES 2013, Samsung proclaimed themselves as the number one mobile phone provider in the U.S., based on figures by Strategy Analytics, North America Handset Vendor Marketshare from the second quarter of 2012.
