AT&T subscribers with a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 have something tasty to look forward to this holiday season as it looks like AT&T has started pushing out an update including Multi-Window.

The update is a relatively minor one, and its main purpose is the introduction of Multi-Window. The feature allows users to run two apps simultaneously, at the same time. Multi-Window allows for a more PC-like experience, where users can browse the Internet while watching a video on YouTube.

The update leaked on Dec. 26 thanks to EnGadget, which received an official statement from AT&T stating that the update would begin rolling out the next day.

"AT&T plans to begin rolling out a software update for Samsung Galaxy Note II customers that includes the Multi-Window feature, which allows the user to divide the screen into two active "windows" creating a split screen that enables fluid multitasking between applications. The update will be available for download over the air beginning Dec. 27," AT&T told EnGadget

It seems like AT&T has kept its word, as reports are trickling in that Galaxy Note 2 users on AT&T's network are already able to snag the Multi-Window update. Unlike major Android upgrades, this one will be released mostly OTA, according to EnGadget. As with all rollouts, don't be surprised if yours takes a little longer to arrive.

The Multi-Window feature has also started making its way across other Samsung devices. The Galaxy S3 has already started receiving it, and both the Galaxy Note and Galaxy S2 are slated to get the feature as well. Expect future Samsung smartphones, as well as others, to make this feature a staple among mobile handsets.

Let us know if you were able to grab the Galaxy Note 2 Multi-Window update from AT&T and what you think of it.
