Samsung seems to be rolling out a last-minute, end-of-the-year present for some Galaxy S3 owners worldwide as an international Galaxy S3 LTE model has started receiving its Android 4.1.2 update in certain regions around the globe.

The upgrade is for the Galaxy S3 LTE model GT-I9305 and introduces Android 4.1.2 build JZO54K. As with all Android updates, it will be pushed out in batches, so some markets will have to wait longer than others. If you're wondering whether the upgrade is available yet in your region, you can visit SamMobile for a real-time updated list of where Android 4.1.2 is available for the GT-I9305.

The Android 4.1.2 build from Samsung introduces a couple features previously only found in the Galaxy Note 2, including Multi-View. This feature allows for two apps to run side-by-side on screen. Multi-View allows users can watch YouTube while scrolling through their emails.

Given the amount of success the Galaxy S3 has brought Samsung in 2012, it's no surprise the South Korean electronics manufacturer is attempting to keep its device near the cutting edge of Android. Google has already released Android 4.2 for its Nexus line of devices, and while Samsung is still releasing Android 4.1.2, an Android 4.2 Galaxy S3 upgrade is rumored to be slated for a Q1 2013 release.

As usual, don't expect carrier-tied Galaxy S3 variants here in the United States to get this update anytime soon, as the major networks have all barely finished releasing Android 4.1.1. Other non-LTE variants of the international Galaxy S3s already started receiving Android 4.1.2 a couple weeks ago.

Let us know if you're a Galaxy S3 owner with an official Android 4.1.2 update and what you think of it in the comments below.
