**Update: The Verizon support page mentioned here seems to have been changed back to pre-Jelly Bean since the time this article was posted. Stay tuned for more information, as Verizon has dropped hints ahead of time about devices through its website before. An email to Verizon was not returned.

**Update: Verizon Wireless has officially announced Jelly Bean for the Galaxy S3 will be rolling out starting on Dec. 14 in phases. A Verizon spokesperson responded to our earlier email confirming our morning report, stating, "Jelly Bean for the S3 will begin to be pushed out in phases starting tomorrow (Dec. 14)."

Fuming Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 owners can finally cool their jets - it looks like Jelly Bean is coming soon. In the first public, official move by Verizon regarding a Jelly Bean update, Verizon has posted Jelly Bean documents on a support page.

The PDF file outlines several new features that will be introduced with Jelly Bean including Google Now and an improved S Voice. Google now is a Google-based voice assistant that can answer your questions, while S Voice (Samsung's voice assistant) "has been improved for better voice recognition."

The build is listed as being VRBLK3, which was leaked out on the Internet last week, and is a decent 64MB. There is no release date available as of yet, but rumor has it that Dec. 14 should be the day Verizon rolls out Jelly Bean for its Galaxy S3. As usual, updates release in waves, so don't be surprised if it takes a while to reach you.

Verizon has been known for being notoriously slow in releasing Android updates, but given the high-profile nature of the Galaxy S3, many expected Big Red to at least give it the old college try. Instead, carriers Sprint, T-Mobile, and AT&T all released a Galaxy S3 Jelly Bean update before Verizon did. Carrier U.S. Cellular still hasn't released any information on its Galaxy S3 Jelly Bean plans.

International unlocked Galaxy S3 owners have it far better. Samsung has already started releasing Android 4.1.2 in certain regions around the world, giving those Galaxy S3s some features that were previously exclusive to the Galaxy Note 2 such as Multi-View. Samsung has been reported to be working on an Android 4.2 build for the Galaxy S3, which could be released sometime in Q1 2013.
