AT&T has a deal that could get you a new Samsung Galaxy S6 entirely for FREE. According to their website, the FREE Samsung Galaxy S6 can be acquired via the company's new promotion.

However, as noted by Digital Trends, the new AT&T promo isn't without a few conditions.

Interested Samsung users must have a different Galaxy device - Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge Plus, S6 Active or Note 5 - which will have to be subscribed to a new line. This could work for those willing to switch entirely to an AT&T service. The said AT&T service is the company's 24-month Next plan, which requires customers to purchase the device through a minimum of $70 or above per month in a span of 24 months.

Samsung Galaxy devices retail  for $578 flat in some stores. In AT&T stores, however, the gadgets sell at the very cheap beginning price of $229.99. Again, it is worth noting that this comes with the condition that users need to sign a contract with AT&T, which could in turn mean large fees and an obligation to run the Galaxy device on AT&T's network.

Digital Trends added that the FREE Galaxy S6 isn't necessarily free since users have to pay for the device through the instalment plan or the outright payment, after which AT&T will provide a monthly discount of $21.67 a month for the next 30 months. Total discounts cost $650, which means the mobile service provider in retrospect is paying for the phone via the discounts.

If in the end, users decide to skip the deal, they would have no choice but to pay the remaining balance on the mobile.

The "FREE" Galaxy S6 deal by AT&T is a great grab for those locked into a contract with the carrier beforehand. However, others who want the Galaxy devices minus the strings might need second thoughts before making a final decision. On the other hand, there is still the T-Mobile option, which reportedly does not require contract agreements, but also without the "buy one, get one" Galaxy deal.

Furthermore, as noted by The Inquisitr, many phone providers nowadays like Samsung offer the "multiple profiles feature" that allows users to use their custom settings on a different phone, including contacts.

The AT&T "FREE" Galaxy S6 promo lasts only up to New Year's Eve, so time is for the essence for those considering the deal.

In the end, the decision depends on one's commitment to the product, since there are several other options in the market.
