The iPad Air 3 release date could be as early as January 2016, according to latest rumors. This news comes as the iPad Air 2 received massive discounts of up to $150 during the Black Friday and Cyber Monday Sales, according to Crossmap.
The iPad Pro and the iPad Mini 4 had both been launched in September, so fans expected the release of the iPad Air 3 this year, but to no avail, according to BGR. Apparently, Apple wanted to provide the iPad Pro a leveled playing field when it comes to sales.
That much anticipation over the iPad Air 3 doesn't really come as a surprise since industries generally place their current products on sale when they are about to release new ones.
According to Yibada, the tech giant is expected to provide an official announcement on the iPad Air 3 sometime soon.
Meanwhile, because of Apple's secrecy and absence of confirmation as to the rumored specs and features of the highly anticipated device, fans have had to rely on speculations.

According to Tech Times, the upcoming Apple device is expected to have a 9.7-inch screen display, with 4k resolution. The website also reported that the iPad Air 3 could have a pixel density of 401 ppi and an aspect ratio of 4:3.
iPad Air 3 Camera
According to International Business Times, the rumored camera of the device is 8 megapixels on the rear. The primary camera is also expected to have a fingerprint scanner. Meanwhile, the tablet's front camera is expected to be 2.1 mega pixels for taking clear selfies.
iPad Air 3 Processor
Yibada claims that the tablet could be powered by an A9X processor, which is currently what is used on the iPad Pro. Other rumors claim that the device will have two variants - one with 2GB of RAM and the other with 4GB of RAM.
iPad Air 3 Storage
When it comes to storage though, the upcoming device could have three different models to accommodate three memory capacities, namely, 16 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB.
iPad Air 3 Battery
While there's no clear news about the battery of the iPad Air 3, it will reportedly be reduced from the iPad Air 2's 7,340 mAh battery capacity.
