The 'Destiny' December Update is finally here, and with it comes Titan weapon and class changes, Sunbreakers' nerf, additional exotics, the Sparrow Racing League and more.
"Destiny's" Sparrow Racing League, a limited three-week event requested by the community since "Destiny's" original launch, will allow players to race on two special maps for gear. New emotes and exclusive offers to grab 320 Light Helmets and Class items will be presented in the event, according to Game Rant.
As reported by The Inquisitr, below is a breakdown of details and rewards in the "Destiny" Sparrow Racing League event.
- When
The "Destiny" Sparrow Racing League will run from Tuesday, December 8, 1 p.m. ET until the Weekly Reset on Tuesday, December 29, 3 a.m. ET.
- Where To Go
Players must first proceed to the Tower hangar, to Amanda Holliday, who will grant players access to the "Destiny" Sparrow Racing League (SRL). She also sells SRL License Quest and Bounties.
- "Destiny" Sparrow Racing League - Races
Races are six-man matchmade events on two courses. Normal difficulty will be on Mars while harder difficulty is on Venus. Each race features three laps with enemies, obstacles, jumps and boost gates in the racing courses. Win by hitting the most boost gates and maintain max speed. Speed is reduced with missed gates.
Gates grow wider with each succeeding player to reach them. Gain fuel by passing through gates and performing tricks.
- "Destiny" Sparrow Racing League - Quests
First up is the Class C racing license, which is acquired via completion of five races, then get an SRL Sparrow.
Class B, A and S license quests follow Class C. Completing these licenses increases reputation rank and rewards are better.
After completing all quests, players will be able to purchase the Legendary Sparrow Racing gear from Amanda Holliday, which include boots, a chest armor, gauntlets, a helmet and Class Items.
- Bounties
Amanda Holliday offers bounties that grant Sparrow Racing League reputation rank and experience, among others. These include daily and weekly bounties, which are required to complete 10 other bounties. Upon completion, a player is given the Racer's Toolkit.
- Rewards
Sparrow Racing League rewards include Rare or Legendary gear, Horns, Motes of Light, Shaders and/or Strange Coins after completion of each race.
- Gears
These include gauntlets for boost, boots for fuel boost, chest armor for reduced cooldown when a Sparrow is destroyed and a helmet that allows more control of the Sparrow.
Apart from the Sparrow Racing League, the "Destiny" December update also includes turning down of Sunbreakers and rebuffing of Titan subclasses Striker and Defender. Meanwhile, all Titans have extended melee attack. In addition, the "Destiny" update include new and refreshed exotics, wide weapon rebalancing on nearly every weapon class and new items including new emotes sold by Eververse vendor Tess Everis, according to Game Rant.
