"The Hunger Games" stars Liam Hemsworth and Jennifer Lawrence have always been close, but could they finally be more than just friends?
Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth have developed a close friendship since they started working on "The Hunger Games", but now that the movie series has finally ended, there are rumors that the two are finally getting to know each other on a more romantic level.
Mirror UK reported that a romance might be blossoming between Lawrence and Hemsworth. After years of working together, the Australian hunk is said to be eager to take things to the next level with the actress. Hemsworth has been single since his split from Miley Cyrus and Lawrence has broken up with Coldplay singer Chris Martin.
"Everyone knows what's going on. The chemistry is so obvious," a source said. "They're so compatible, and it's not just about looking good together. They have the same sense of humour - when they're together, they laugh nonstop."
However, despite their compatibility, it was reported that Lawrence is a bit wary about pursuing another high-profile romance after her failed relationships with Chris Martin and Nicholas Hoult. The source added that Hemsworth would love to date Lawrence and have mentioned a few times that she is his 'dream girl'.
Last year in an interview with Nylon magazine, Lawrence gushed over the Australian actor even calling him good-looking.
"I guess the thing that surprised me is that I would never expect to ever have a man this good-looking ever be my best friend," she said. "I just would never assume those things could happen, but he is. He's the most wonderful, lovable, family-oriented, sweet, hilarious, amazing guy."
She also spoke about how he taught her to stand up for herself and how to be fair. She described herself as a "wimp" back then and revealed that it was Hemsworth who made her toughen up a bit.
In an interview by Entertainment Weekly, the actress also recently spoke about cutting people out from her life once she feels that they have wrong motives. The 25-year-old actress said that she only maintains a small circle, and she has no problem cutting some people off the list if she feels like she's being used.
Apart from Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth who are two of her closest friends in the business, she also revealed that Adele, Amy Schumer and Emma Stone are among her famous friends. Lawrence said that above all else, she looks for authenticity in her friendships.
