The last time DC Comics and Legendary gave fans a new trailer for its upcoming "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" movie was back in July for the San Diego Comic Con. It seems that fans have become anxious waiting for more information about the movie as the premiere date edges closer.
Well, according to Cinemablend, the wait might not be much longer as Producer Charles Roven has stated that something new concerning "Batman v. Superman" will be out very soon. While Roven wasn't entirely clear on when that 'soon' will be, the producer did state that it will probably be before the end of the year.
In a recent sit down with Collider, Roven spoke at length about the film and the high hopes the fans and the studio have for it. The producer stated that the studio realizes that it has to make an engaging movie that will stimulate the audience both intellectually and visually. According to the producer, the loyal fans of these characters will know if the movie shown is second rate, and they will be the first ones to voice their criticism about every small fault and problem with the film.
Roven is also aware of the fans' increasing worry that the film might be handling too much too soon with so many characters being introduced into the DC Comics Cinematic Universe. The producer stated that there is a reason the movie is called "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" and not "Dawn of Justice: Batman v. Superman." According to Roven, the movie will primarily focus on the situation that is escalating between the two superheroes. The other characters will simply enhance the storytelling.
Roven continued by saying that the studio and crew have worked on the foundation laid by previous films like "Man of Steel" and improved on it. Roven said the events of "Man of Steel" will have a big effect on what is currently happening in "Batman v. Superman." While he could not go into specific details, the producer promised that fans who have watched the previous Superman film will see the rebound effects of the film.
With that being said, fans will still have to wait patiently for another trailer for the first movie of the DC Comics Cinematic Universe.
"Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" is set to premiere on March 25, 2016.
