Samsung Galaxy S7 Out in February? [Release Date, Specs, Features & Rumors]

Samsung has been known to surprise its customers and followers with early launches of their next devices. If reports are true, we may just be seeing the Samsung Galaxy S7 out as early as February, 2016.

Word about the Samsung Galaxy S7 release date has come out in the open with both versions allegedly featuring support for LTE Cat. 12.

Hearing about the LTE Cat. 12 speed may be nothing new to most but such has been mentioned before and something tied up with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset that the device will be carrying.

Further to rumors, there will be two versions of the Samsung Galaxy S7. One would be running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC and the other on the company’s very own Exynos 8890. Regardless of processor, both provide support for the LTE Cat. 12.

And since we are on the subject, such does justify earlier belief that that the Samsung Galaxy S7 stands to be the fast smartphone yet though that is up for debate since a phone that can accommodate faster speeds would also depend if the carrier provides for support on such.

Can the alleged inclusion of an LTE Cat. 12 really deliver 600Mb/s for downloads and 100Mb/s of uploads? Such is still something that remains to be seen.

Moving on, what else could possibly entice us to get a Samsung Galaxy S7 in the event that it does come out by February, 2016?

The phone camera is something that has become precious to consider for most and Samsung has been known to pay attention.

With Google unveiling a couple of devices (Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P), could something offer something similar or better?

Another rumor reveals that the Samsung Galaxy S7 could feature a 1/2 – inch 12MP sensor which could be the largest among what other companies have to offer to date. Larger individual photosites will reportedly be combined with a dual-photodiode technology which may be tied up with Samsung’s recently filed trademark called ‘Britecell’ for the said sensor.

This may indicate that Samsung has been also busy trying to improve low-light issues when it comes to snapping shots through mobile devices.

Photos with higher pixel count will of course render better resolution on photos, particularly when they are cropped. And seeing how low-light conditions hamper the expectations of people who want to capture those special moments, this new feature could very well be interesting in dim-lit instances.

Again, all of these come from the rumor mill and more details on the Samsung Galaxy S7 are expected to come in the following months. Hopefully majority of them will be on hand when the much awaited Samsung Galaxy S7 does finally come out in the open.
