As if we need any proof tennis star Serena Williams can pull off such a feat.

About a day after the athlete recounted a story on Facebook about a man snatching her phone, a video clip of Williams chasing the man in question emerged, proving that her account is no work of fiction.

"Video taken from inside and outside the San Francisco restaurant - where Williams was dining with a male friend who appeared to be Reddit founder Alexis Ohanion - shows just what happened next when the athlete turned vigilante sprung into action after the man snatched her phone," MailOnline said, adding that the clip showed what the tennis ace described in her Facebook post.

To understand what exactly happened that Tuesday evening, let's check out her story.

"Yesterday at dinner the CRAZIEST THING happened to me," she began. "I was sitting enjoying some Chinese food (delicious may I add) and this guy stands next to me. It was only 2 of us sitting at a 4 person table just chatting like we have not seen each other in years."

"So this guy is standing next to me and something (I have now dubbed it my SUPERHERO sense) told me to watch him," she went on. "My phone was sitting in the chair but I just didn't feel right. He was there too long."

Williams wondered whether the man was a customer or was waiting for his turn for the bathroom. She kept a close eye on him while enjoying her dinner from that point.

Finally, the man made his move when the 34-year-old least expected it and swiped her phone. This made Williams shout about the snatching and promptly swung into action.

"Not thinking I reacted (hence the superwoman photo) I jumped up, weaved my way in and out of the cozy restaurant (leaping over a chair or two) and chased him down," she recalled. "He began to run but I was too fast. (Those sprints came in handy) I was upon him in a flash!"

She then proceeded to ask the man if he "accidentally" took the wrong phone. He played along to Williams' line as he "stumbled on his words." She got her phone back, and still mustered enough goodwill to thank the man before heading back to the restaurant.

The clip was acquired by ABC News and has since been shared by media outlets and viewers.

Williams is currently the on top of the roster of female tennis players in the world right now. She will be back in action for the Australian Open next year.

Previously, she had been seen in the company of rapper Drake a number of times, sparking speculations whether the two were dating. Apparently, Williams has shifted her attention to yet another man.
