DC Comics has so far been impressed with Ben Affleck's take on Batman, so much so that they already ordered two solo films for the character even before his debut in "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice."

With the rich history of the dark knight, movie fans will have no problems finding suitable story arcs for these films to partake in. However, according to Den of Geek, several story arcs have already become frontrunners for the main stories of these two films.

The first of these story arcs is "Death in the Family." This story arcs tells about the death of the second person to take the Robin persona, Jason Todd. In the comics, Jason Todd took over Dick Grayson after the latter took his leave from Batman to take on the role of Nightwing. Todd was a lot more forward than Grayson, which led to many arguments between him and the rest of the Batman team.

It was found out that Jason's mother was actually alive and was tricked by Joker to lure her son to a warehouse lined with explosives. After a horrible beating by the clown prince of crime, Jason Todd and his mother met their fates after the bombs went off and Batman arrived too late to save them.

Digital Spy states that this is a logical choice for a solo movie as Jason Todd's Robin costume is seen predominately in the "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" trailer.

The other strong arc that is in contention for a solo movie is the "Red Hood" story arc. This arc tells of the return of Jason Todd to life after years of being thought dead by the entire world. However, Todd will not return as the hero he once was. Instead, he returns as a mysterious figure calling himself the Red Hood. The persona was to mock the Joker, who took the name while he was a petty criminal and before the events that had made him what he is today.

While not known to Batman at first, his identity soon becomes clear rather quickly. Batman soon becomes torn on what to do with Todd as he is still seeking revenge for his death and the death of his mother.

This arc is considered mainly because it is a follow up to "Death in the Family", and it would make perfect sense that this story would see the big screen.

While official plans for the solo Batman movies are yet to be made, these two story arcs seem the strongest.

Which story arcs would you want to see for the solo Batman movies? Let us know in the comments below.
