Even before the October 18 edition of WWE RAW got underway, it was a pretty loaded show with the likes of Steve Austin and Shawn Michael around to perk up the show in Dallas, Texas.

While their appearances and roles that night, everything was pretty much electric. HBK though should be given a bit of a pat on the back on how he was able to goat Rollins into helping out the undermanned tandem of Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose. It was the good old reverse psychology routine and the Architect bit.

Of course, Triple H didn’t really see it as a good idea since Ambrose and Reigns hated Rollins. But that ‘pampering’ bit by Michaels on Rollins was enough to goat the WWE heavyweight champion to reunite with his former Shield buddies though it wasn’t exactly a grand reunion.

Throughout the match, it was all Reigns and Ambrose with Rollins being left out due to expected trust issues. But at some point then Ambrose seemed to be left with no choice but to tag in Rollins, the Architect got hurt (well, sort of).

It seemed that Rollins suddenly incurred a knee injury and chances are he will stick to that angle for the coming shows.

Well he could always claim that he was already in a match earlier with Ryback and apparently the effects only came about during the match, at a time when he was about to be tagged in.

Reigns was taken out by Braun Strowman at that point, hence the reason why Ambrose was about to tag in Rollins. The match ended with the Wyatt’s winning via disqualification when Ambrose used a kendo stick on the giant Strowman.

For a moment there, many saw the trio reunite since going their own separate ways. Rumors about a possible Shield reunion has been up in the air for several months now and this could be just that. Or is it? Could there be more pairings in the future or was this the pretty hyped reunion?

The thing is, Rollins was just there and did nothing. Well being a heel wrestler, it wasn’t really surprising. Further, would Rollins really risk it against any of the Wyatt’s considering he will be up against Kane this Sunday at WWE Hell in a Cell?

Curiously, there was no Kane around when Rollins chickened out. Corporate Kane was suspended for making that previous lumberjack match but it was odd not to see the Demonic Kane around or at least show up on screen as a distraction.

Regardless, Rollins faces Kane at WWE Hell in a Cell this Sunday with Rollins expected to come out still as the champ. Roman Reigns also faces Bray Wyatt in singles competition in what many feel could be the climax of the long-running feud.
