Hector "Macho" Camacho's wake took place over the course of three days. Unfortunately, the event, which should have been a celebration of the boxer's life, devolved into a brawl between the sisters of Camacho and another woman who claimed to be his girlfriend.
On Tuesday, Cynthia Castillo planted a kiss on the lips of the dead boxer and then walked over to the area reserved for family. Castillo then got into a fight with Gloria Fernandez and sister Estrella and Esther. Castillo claims to have been Camacho girlfriend while Fernandez claimed to have been his girlfriend for the last 25 years.
"I am the actual girlfriend of Macho, and those who don't like it better not bring it," Cynthia Castillo told ESPN Deportes. "They shouldn't be going after me. They should be thanking me for being with him at all times."
Castillo added that when she went over to get something to eat, Fernandez told her that she had to leave. What ensued was a bunch of hair pulling and scratching between the two before the sisters became involved.
Camacho was slain on November 20 in native Puerto Rico by two men. There were reportedly 10 bags of cocaine in the Ford Mustang car when the boxer and his friend Adrian Moreno were shot. He died four days later in a hospital.
Camacho was flown out to New York on Thursday. His funeral will take place there on Saturday morning at 6 AM PST.
