People are already excited to receive a notification regarding the new Android M 6.0 mobile operating system. A recent leak reportedly showed a list of devices that will eventually be able to run on the new OS update.

The leaked list reportedly came from China, but there's no confirmation yet as to its veracity. Samsung has not yet commented on its veracity. Android Origin wrote that the source is actually respectable with a track record of providing accurate details regarding new devices and technology.

There were three columns in the list. The first column contained the different manufacturers - Samsung, HTC, Sony, LG, Asus, OnePlus, Xiaomi, Huawei and iBerry feat. Elephone. The second column contained high-end devices, while the third column featured the midrange and lower models.

Under Sony are the Xperia M5, C5 Ultra, Xperia Z3 Plus (aka Z4), Xperia Z3, Z3v, Z3 Compact, Z2, and Xperia Z Ultra GPE (Google Play Edition). The Sony Xperia Z1 was in the third column. Under LG are the G3, G4, LG Class and Flex 2. Its third column contained the LG G2, G2 Pro and G Flex. Xiaomi's premium list included the Xiaomi Mi4, Mi 4i, Mi Note, Mi Note Pro, Redmi Note 2, Redmi 2 and Redmi Note 2 Prime. The Redmi 1S and Redmi Note (2014) were in the third column.

Techmesto reported that several Sony Xperia devices will be upgraded to Android Marshmallow, namely the Xperia Z5, Z5 Compact, Z5 Premium, M5, M4 Aqua, C4, C5 Ultra, Z4 Tablet, Z3 Tablet Compact and Z2 Tablet. The LG V10 is also expected to receive the OS update soon. The Xiaomi Mi 4c, Mi Note and Mi Note Pro are also bound to get the update.

The products featured in the premium list will most likely receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in the first batch of the official roll out, to be done over-the-air (OTA). The items listed in the third column may get the OS update at a later time, based on the same Android Origin report. There is still no confirmation from Samsung and the exact release dates have not been revealed. The initial update for Android M might be reported before the end of 2015. It is possible that some of the products will receive the update by the end of 2015, while others will have to wait until the first quarter of 2016.

More updates and details are expected from the abovementioned companies regarding the Android 6.0 M roll out.
