After enjoying dinner in downtown Hamilton, Ontatrio Godfrey Cuotto got on a crowded bus and when a stranger extended his hand to him, he took it. A photo was snapped and posted to a local Facebook page called "Only in Hamilton." The photo has since gone viral and Godfrey is now being praised as a hero at home and all throughout the internet.

The 21-year old college student did not initially know he had taken the hand of a man named Robert who was deaf and suffered from cerebral palsy. In speaking with Huffington Post Canada, Godfrey recalls the man, sitting towards the front of the crowded bus, outstretched his arm for a handshake. He was taken aback at first, but he shook Robert's hand anyways.

"He kept holding my hand. I thought I was getting pranked at first," Cuotta confesses to Huffington Post. "But he just needed comfort.

He also recalls Robert not only holding his hand, but leaning on him and hugging him throughout the ride.

"I just allowed it, like what am I going to do?" Cuotto says. "Sometimes you just have to be selfless and put someone else's needs above yours."

The viral photo shows Cuotto's hand cupped between both of Robert's hands captioned: I would liking to say thank you to the guy who was seating beside a special needs gentleman... He allowed him to hold his hand and find comfort well in a packed bus.. It make my day when I see stuff like that.

The sweet moment has received over 62,000 likes and over 13,000 shares.

Facebook users poured out their own hearts over the social media siyte writing comments that honored the young man as a hero.

Godfrey believes so too. He credits his kind heart to heart to her. "I was raised by a queen."
