Tough competition awaits other Android manufacturers, if the rumours are true.

At a Google event set to take place on Sept. 29, the company is expected to introduce the new Nexus devices from LG and Huawei, along with the highly-anticipated final release of Marshmallow, according to Android Headlines.

Android Police predicts that if Google does not veer away from tradition, both handsets will be unlocked and will feature wireless bands for a variety of carriers.

Since the event is mere days away, rumors and leaks about the devices are the topics of tech news all over the Internet.

Last year's Nexus 6 was offered to the market in 32GB and 64GB models. According to trusted sources for Android Police, the much anticipated Huawei Nexus handset will be available in a considerably massive 128GB storage -- in addition to the 32GB and 64GB options.

Android Police also forecasts that the Huawei phone will be equipped with a MicroSD card. This contradicts Google's recent efforts to expand storage on Android Marshmallow devices, but Android fans should prepare for a $50 to $100 price markup for each storage expansion. In a stark contrast to the Huawei Nexus, the LG phone will only be offered in 16GB and 32GB capacities.

International Business Times reports that the Huawei Nexus 6, codenamed "Angler," is expected to be released this year to replace the Motorola Nexus 6. Nexus 6 will supposedly be unveiled alongside the LG Nexus 5X during the Sept. 29 Google event in San Francisco.

According to IB Times, the Huawei Nexus also has some impressive specs and features like a 5.7 inches display. With a significantly wide display, the phone is equipped to support a Quad HD resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and boasts a pixel density of 515 ppi.

While The Snapdragon 810 SoC has had its fair share of issues this year, IB Times notes that the new version planted in the Nexus 6 (2015) will be a superior version of the SD 810 chip, which should avoid any overheating issues.

In addition, the Huawei Nexus 6 (2015) also features an octa-core processor with a speed of 1.9 GHz coupled with Adreno 430 graphics. The phone will also house  3GB of LPDDR4 RAM. Media-wise, the Nexus 6 is predicted to sport a 13 MP camera and a front camera of 8 MP. It will also be maintained by a battery of 3,500 mAh capacity.

Talk Android reported, as cited by IB Times, that preorders of the device will start on Oct. 13, with the base model carrying a price tag of $649. However, other sources report that the phablet will be around $449 to $549.
