Sound the alarm! Lil Wayne and Christina Milian are no longer an item.

The musical duo have officially called it quits. Entertainment Tonight confirms after an entire year of dating, Weezy and the pop singer broke up in late August.

In July 2014, the two were rumored to be courting. But a few months ago, it seemed like things were heating up. When promoting her new music video for "Rebel," ET was told exclusively by a smitten Milian, that Wayne was in fact the man in her life.

"It's safe to say it is about the man in my life, yes," she said to ETonline. "There's nothing better than that feeling of new chemistry when you're so into someone and you could care less about what anyone else thinks... and there's butterflies! It's a real feeling that people experience."

Milian's visual to "Rebel" pictured the sexy singer in front of a dreamy landscape and a gigantic parachute. Christina told ET the new single was "inspired" by her relationship with the Young Money CEO. "For me, I'm so inspired by the relationship that I'm in that it's definitely an experience. It's that careless, hopeless, romantic love - that feeling of 'I will do anything for you' and it's just incredible and so yea, 'rebel for you' means 'I'm all about you,'" she said in May.

A month before that she gushed about her budding relationship with Lil Tunechi to Los Angeles' Real 92.3 - even letting an "I love you" slip. "He's the sweetest. I love him. Oh, sh*t! "I do. I do love him." Awww how adorable!

In her interview with ET, she also divulged Wayne would be collaborating with her on her five-track EP. She said he would be featured on a song called "Do It,". This is a major deal since Milian has not released an album in nearly a decade.

However what will happen to the album now that the pair are split up? And moreover, what could have possibly halted the pair's flourishing romance? Unfortunately at this time, there are not any answers. Fans will just have to wait and see.
