"Once Upon A Time" fans rejoice, as the Red Riding Hood is finally returning to Storybrooke!
The newest season of the fairytale-based show is looking to welcome back the little red child of the moon this September.
TVLine confirmed Meghan Ory would be back to reprise her role as Ruby, Red Riding Hood in the Season 5A. That is not all! It is reported, Ory will appear in multiple episodes during the 5th leg of the hit ABC television show.
There is a possibility fans could have seen this wondrous announcement coming, as Series co-creator Eddy Kitsis hinted at Ory's return in season 5A during the publication's Fall Preview Q&A.
Kitsis told TVLine, "I hope there's a full moon this year. You never know who might come out...."
Ory left "Once Upon A Time" in 2013 to pursue other projects, including a co-starring spot on CBS' "Intelligence" during the 2013-14 TV season. She was last pictured in "Once Upon A Time" at the end of Season 3 when all of Storybrooke gathered at Granny's to witness the Charmings' baby naming.
Fans, the good news does not stop there. Followers of the action-packed drama can take a quick look into season 5A thanks to a recently released promo.
The 30-second spot features a number of Storybrooke's finest and introduces a few new characters. Viewers are introduced to King Arthur of Camelot played by Liam Garrigan, who will run into Emma (Jennifer Morrison), her mother, Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin), her father, Prince Charming (Josh Dallas), Regina (Lana Parrilla) and Hook (Colin O' Donoghue). The gaggle of fairy tale characters are traveling to Camelot to find Merlin played by Elliot Knight. The wizard is Emma's saving grace. He is the only person able to rid her of the dark and evil magic that stirs inside her.
The ever so ominous narrator says, "The clash of good versus evil has never been this intense," before Emma admits the, "The fight to control my darkness has just begun."
The promo also promises other new characters, including a glimpse of an all too familiar "Brave" redhead, Merida.
Season 5A of "Once Upon A Time" returns to ABC on Sunday, Sept. 27.
