Did John Cena just re-injure his nose? Or did he add another injury woe on his end that could probably be his neck?

After a live event held at Hampton, Viriginia that saw the WWE star take on Kevin Owens yet again, there was a part of the match that seemed to go in disarray.

Cena was apparently going for a move, called the ‘Code Red’ or a sunset flip, but he was unable to properly execute it. From the video posted by a fan on Twitter, it seemed that Cena may have gotten the worse of it which seems to point at a possible neck or back injury.

Should he indeed be injured, such could pose a problem for the WWE as far as its coming WWE PPV, Night of Champions is concerned. Cena will be facing Rollins in one of the Architect’s two matches for the night with the United States title on the line.

Ironically, Rollins was the same WWE star that handed Cena his other injury before WWE SummerSlam. During a regular WWE Show, Rollins caused a serious nasal injury to the then-United States champion and Cena was sidelined for several shows before successfully returning in time for the August pay-per-view.

Could that concern happen again?

The answer to that is a big no since the WWE assured fans that Cena is up and about, and that the WWE star will not be missing any regular show.

“John is fine,” a WWE spokesperson told The Washington Post.

This was actually seconded by Cena over Twitter, the same medium where concern on that botched move first came out.

This should be good news for both the WWE and its fans as the last thing that the company would need right now is to head into a WWE PPV without its top star.

Despite only being in a mid-card level right now, Cena is still the top merchandise seller and ratings draw.

“Cena’s merchandise was recently and may still be outselling the entire rest of the roster combined” says David Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter via Cageside seats. “The Cena shows [in 2014] were doing more than $60,000 above the non-Cena shows in ticket sales.

As far as the business and entertainment side of things are concerned, both can heave a sigh of relief noq. Cena will be at WWE Night of Champions this September 20 and face Rollins as scheduled.
