Fans of 'The Hunger Games' were given yet another reason to get excited for the latest installment of the popular series after Lionsgate released a motion poster for "Catching Fire" on Tuesday. The poster, which is reminiscent of the series' book cover, shows the iconic Mockingjay pin engulfed in flames.

'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' will be released in a year following the tremendous international success of the first film 'The Hunger Games.' The film, which stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth, earned a whopping $152.5 million during its opening weekend in March, Entertainment Weekly reported.

The second film in the series, 'Catching Fire,' will pick up when Hunger Games victors Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) return to District 12 and then set off to their Victors Tour around Panem before the third annual Quarter Quell. A full cast list for the highly anticipated film was released in September, following weeks of speculations among fans.

Set photos of the first part of production surfaced online in late September. 'Catching Fire' was filming in Clayton County, Ga. and is expected to move to Hawaii before wrapping up in late December 2012. According to Lionsgate, principal photography for the sequel began on September 10 before heading to Hawaii.

'Catching Fire' director Francis Lawrence will also direct the series' third and fourth films, Mockingjay Parts 1 and 2, it was announced earlier in November.

According to the film's Facebook page, it has also been nominated for seven People's Choice Awards including: Favorite Movie, Favorite Movie Actress, Favorite Action Movie, Favorite Face of Heroism, Favorite Movie Franchise, Favorite On Screen Chemistry and Favorite Movie Fan Following.

'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' is scheduled for theatre release on November 22, 2013.
