The Capitol that fans will see in "The Hunger Games: Mokingjay Part 2" is inspired from real tourist spots in Paris and a street in Russia that dates back as far as the Soviet era. The last installment of the film franchise will hit cinemas, including IMAX 3D theaters, on Nov. 20.

The nation of Panem is already in a full scale war and Katniss Everdeen will confront President Snow in the final showdown for "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2," Lionsgate said in an official announcement in February. The plot for the last film will follow the journey of Katniss as she goes off on a mission "to stage an assassination attempt on President Snow." By this time, the president had become increasingly obsessed to kill Katniss. "The mortal traps, enemies, and moral choices that await Katniss will challenge her more than any arena she faced in 'The Hunger Games,'" Lionsgate said in its announcement.

Guided by this plot, director Francis Lawrence told the Entertainment Weekly that the fourth installment of the franchise "is the most amount of time" the filmmakers have "spent in the Capitol." Hence, the place will be very much detailed in the part 2.

As for the 3-D hologram that will be used by Katniss to track down President Snow's mansion, Lawrence said that "anyone who really knows Paris will find quadrants of the map that look very familiar." The map "is a mix up of a layout of Paris and old designs of Germania," Lawrence added.

Nevertheless, finding President Snow will pose a challenge to Katniss and her rebellious team, the director said. "The route is severely booby-trapped," Lawrence added.

In order to design the buildings surrounding the Capitol, production designer Philip Messina said he drew inspiration from the olden architecture that dates back to the Soviet era. "That architecture was evocative of dictatorial regimes. It felt strong and monolithic, but also had a decorative element to it. It adds an artful quality to it, which I felt I hadn't seen on film before," Messina told Entertainment Weekly.

As fans know by now, Jennifer Lawrence will reprise her role as Katniss Everdeen, Liam hemsworth as Gale, Sam Claflin as Finnick and Josh Hutcherson as Peeta. Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Jeffrey Wright, Willow Shields, Sam Claflin, Jena Malone, as well as Stanley Tucci and Donald Sutherland will also be reprising their original roles from "The Hunger Games" and "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire."

Actors from "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1," namely Julianne Moore, Mahershala Ali, Natalie Dormer, Wes Chatham, Elden Henson and Evan Ross will also be joining the cast for the upcoming flick.
