The oath of silence surrounding Grand Theft Auto 5 has finally been lifted, with the last month giving gamers more details about the game than ever before and even a brand new official trailer. Rockstar seems to be more open when discussing the game, and in an interview with IGN, Rockstar's vice president of creativity, Dan Houser, spilled some more details about Grand Theft Auto 5.

As of now, the game has only been announced for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but after being asked about whether the game was being considered for Wii U or the PC, Houser did state that it is not entirely out of the question.

"Everything else is up for consideration. That's all I can give you. The main thing is we are not... we are a third-party publisher. We're not Nintendo, we're not Sony, we're not Microsoft. We love all of them in different ways," Houser said.

"But we can do what we want wherever there's the appropriate business opportunity and chance to find a market. If that's on Apple we put something on Apple. Wherever it might be. I think that's the fun in what we do. We see ourselves as a content company that uses technology. We don't make it; we use it to make the most fun stuff."

This is good news for Wii U and PC gamers, although given that Rockstar's current focus on polishing the game for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, don't expect the Wii U and PC versions to release anytime soon.

Houser also went on to say that Rockstar Games chose to develop Grand Theft Auto 5 for current-gen rather than next-gen consoles because the company does not feel like that there are currently any hardware limitations.

Grand Theft Auto 5 is currently available for pre-ordering, and will release in spring 2013.
