"Mad Max: Fury Road" is due to be released next month on DVD and Blu Ray. Fans of the movie will be happy to note that some scenes that did not make the theatre release will be put into the home edition.

Cinemablend reports that these scenes were most likely taken off the film due to time constraints. The edited version ran for about two hours, and most of the scenes are just small snippets which are not really noticeable unless you are looking for them.

If you have not watched "Mad Max: Fury Road," then note that the following are spoilers. You have been warned.

One of the most noticeable scenes deleted is where Max (Tom Hardy), Imperator Furiosa (Charlize Theron) and the rest of the party have just noticed that they need to go back towards the Citadel where their entire journey started. The whole party takes a moment to scan the landscape and just have a peaceful moment before the final carnage begins.

While the scene itself is a nice change of pace from the break-neck speed it had been going through for over an hour at that point, it is understandable why it was deleted. The audience already knows that the party has to go through Immortan Joe's forces to get to the Citadel. If the pace of the movie would suddenly stop at that point, it would be difficult to build back the pace established earlier.

The next noticeable scene occurs around the beginning of the film. In this scene, many of the citizens of the Citadel are scurrying for resources and then one mother begs Immortan Joe's men to take her infant to the more luxurious parts of the Citadel. However, the guard takes the baby and then throws it towards the crowd, seemingly killing it.

For those who would like to see the video of the first scene, it can be found on the Cinema Blend site. Most of the uploaded videos have been taken down by Warner Bros.

"Mad Max: Fury Road" is considered to be a box-office hit with over US $373 million made worldwide. Tom Hardy has confirmed that he will be on board for at least two more sequels past "Fury Road" and with the success of the first reboot, fans no longer need to ask if there will be a sequel.

The DVD / Blu Ray version of "Mad Max: Fury Road" is set for release on Sept. 1, 2015.
