There were rumors that the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 would feature a dual-SIM. New images surfaced which showed the Note 5 Duos.

However, Phone Arena wrote that the dual-SIM slot, which was expected to accept microSD cards, was not present on the leaked image. Only an ejected tray with a couple of nano SIM card slots was shown, without any space for a microSD card to fit in either. This may indicate that the earlier talks would not prove to be true.

Digital Trends revealed that the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will feature a 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display with a pixel resolution of 2560 x 1440. There will be a 16-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. There is a new VDIS technology coupled with optical image stabilization to ensure that capturing images will be easy and provide excellent quality shots every time. The phablet will also run on the Exynos 7420 64-bit processor and have 4GB of RAM. There will be two options in terms of internal storage – 32GB and 64GB. The Note 5 also has a 3,000 battery that functions with fast wireless charging technology. The battery supports both wireless charging standards. The battery is non-removable but packs a lot of power. Samsung also brought back the power saving mode, which would let users enjoy several hours of use each day.

KnowYourMobile stated that the Galaxy Note 5 includes an S-Pen stylus or may focus on multitasking features. The S-Pen has been redesigned by the company to feel more like a pen and be easier to hold. The S-Pen also has a quick-release mechanism. It feels very much the same as a real pen as far as responsiveness is concerned. The radial Air Command has been improved and various features have been streamlined. The 4GB of RAM will certainly be helpful in the phablet’s multitasking functions.

The design of the Galaxy Note 5 is also made of glass and metal, like the Galaxy S6, giving it a luxurious appearance. The new device is the most premium-looking in the series so far.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Duos is said to be already available for pre-order in select areas. The device will officially launch in stores on August 21, 2015. It will also be available from main carriers in the United States, namely AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile, with plans lasting up to two years. More news and updates on alternative storage options in the upcoming phone are expected soon.
