Football superstar Tom Brady and his supermodel wife, Gisele Bündchen, are reportedly heading for divorce court. Their marriage is said to be on the rocks, and the Deflategate scandal has not helped.

The couple is rumored to be in the throws of a $460 million-dollar divorce battle. According to HollywoodLife.com, the Deflategate controversy is a major strain on their already deteriorating relationship.

Brady is part of the accused in the football scandal. The New England quarterback allegedly assisted in deflating footballs for his team's own gain during the American Football Conference championship game against the Indianapolis Colts. The National Football League allows each team to provide their own footballs while on offense.

On May 11, the NFL announced the 38-year-old will be suspended for four games in the upcoming 2015 football season, but he will be able to report to training camp and participate in pre-season.

On June 11, Brady argued his case for nearly 11 hours, but the NFL deemed him guilty of tampering evidence. He destroyed his cellphone rather than handing it over to investigators.

The situation now looks like it will hurt his reputation, both personally and professionally, long after the suspension.

"This football season is especially stressful because of Deflategate," an insider revealed. "Tom is really upset about everything that has gone down and it can't help but put a strain on their marriage."

The publication also learned that the football player plans to fight the ruling for as long as possible. A source revealed he is hoping to keep himself in court, long enough to step onto the field.

"It is known that Tom is going to go to court to fight the NFL but he is determined to keep the NFL in court as long as possible," the source said, adding he will do "whatever it takes to completely play the entire season."

Brady stands by his innocence and will not take the fault for Deflategate, according to the source: "If it takes being in court for years, [Tom] is happy to do it. But he is confident that the courts will take his side in this matter. He believes he did no wrong and plans on being exonerated."

The ruling may not be the best for Brady's career, but hopefully he will also focus on things at home before his marriage to Bündchen heads south too!
