Samsung owners can look forward to flurry of Android updates for many of the brand's popular devices including the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy S2 smartphones. Both the best-selling handsets will be getting Android 4.1.2 updates in the near future, since firmwares have now been leaked onto the web.

Website SamMobile has posted the I9300XXELK4 Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean test firmware, which was given to them by XDADevelopers member Saturn. Before you go ahead and download it, however, keep in mind this is an unofficial release, although SamMobile does state they have tested it and state that it works as "perfectly as any other official firmware."

The Android 4.1.2 firmware introduces several new features previously only found in the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, including Multi-View and a new gallery app.

Samsung is still polishing off the Android 4.1.2 update for the Galaxy S3, and is expected to release an official version in December.

An Android 4.1.2 firmware for the Samsung Galaxy S2, dubbed I9300XXLSJ Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, has also been leaked. The firmware introduces Google Now, a new voice assistant, Project Butter for greater stability and performance, and the new TouchWiz Nature UX which is also found in the Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2.

The same warnings about an unofficial firmware apply here as well. This time, the Galaxy S2 Android 4.1.2 files come courtesy of XDADevelopers member izap. You can download the firmware here.

SamMobile says the build is extremely stable, which means the official rollout should be soon. Previous reports have indicated a November release.
