The Samsung Galaxy Note 2's large size has blurred the lines between mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets, earning it the moniker 'phablet.' Samsung is looking to make the handset even more of a crossover device with the new Galaxy Note 2 Smart Dock.

The Galaxy Note 2 Smart Dock essentially turns a Galaxy Note 2 into  a miniature PC workstation, complete with 3 USB ports. The Smart Dock allows for users to connect a keyboard, mouse, and even output to a television via HDMI.

"The Samsung Galaxy Smart Dock makes it easy to take advantage your phone's high-speed internet connectivity and super-fast processor," reads the Smart Dock listing on the Samsung US website

"Make messaging, editing documents and accessing media files a breeze. Plug in your 3.5mm stereo audio components or speakers and you have the ultimate pocket-sized home theater and computer in one."

The Galaxy Note 2 Smart Dock definitely seems like powerful tool to have, but the only problem is that it costs $99.99. When you take into account that the Galaxy Note 2 usually runs around $299.99 with a standard two-year contract, the accessory certainly makes your Galaxy Note 2 a hefty investment.

The Galaxy Note 2 is currently available through carriers AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and U.S. Cellular. Verizon Wireless is currently accepting pre-orders for $299.99 with a ship date of November 27. The phablet is expected to be available in stores for purchase on November 29.

The Galaxy Note 2 comes with a 5.55-inch HD Super AMOLED screen, a 1.6GHz quad-core processor, 8-megapixel camera, and Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean.
