Creators of "American Horror Story: Hotel" finally shares details of the project as it is scheduled to premiere on October 7, Variety reported.

As the premiere begins to creep up, co-creators, Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuck, discussed the details on Friday at FX's Television Critics Association press tour. And among the artists to look forward to is Lady Gaga, who is set to play the role of the haunted hotel's owner, Elizabeth.

According to the Variety report, the idea of the movie was actually inspired by a surveillance video clip that surfaced a couple of years ago, which was taken from a hotel based in Los Angeles. The said footage, as shard by Murphy, had a girl inside an elevator who suddenly disappeared. "We deal with a lot of American horrors, [including] addiction," the film creator told the press.

Entertainment Weekly, published details of each character to be played as discussed by Murphy:

Sarah Paulson will play the role of a drug addict named Sally, who lives at the hotel.

Meanwhile, Angela Bassett will play the role of Ramona Royale. She said, her character has a very strong connection with Elizabeth (Lady Gaga's character). "My character is also a fabulous actress. I don't live at the hotel, but I visit there a lot," she added.

Kathy Bates, said she is playing the role of Iris who runs the hotel.

The other characters were introduced during the event for the press as well.
