A number of highly anticipated games were announced at Gamescom 2015. “Just Cause 3”, “Rise of the Tomb Raider”, “Metal Gear Solid 5” and “Final Fantasy XV” garnered particular interest among players at the event.

Game Rant wrote that Avalanche Studios previously announced that Rico Rodriguez will be coming back for “Just Cause 3”. The new game promises to provide a great experience to fans when it releases before the end of 2015. At Gamescom 2015, there were several new elements and features presented in the new “Burn It” trailer. Gamers were able to get a glimpse of the main villain, General Di Ravello. In the clip, General Ravello unraveled his plan to lure Rodriguez out. It seemed that “Just Cause 3” will be focusing more on storytelling compared to the last two games. Users can expect a lot of action in the upcoming title. The game developer also stated that fans will have an open world sandbox concept, with a more responsive AI and random events for the most exhilarating time. “Just Cause 3” will become available on December 1, 2015 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Polygon reported that “Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain” was also announced to launch on September 1, 2015. The game will be showcasing its last trailers in the following days. Despite issues between Konami and game creator Hideo Kojima, the title will actually be available for players of the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

Based on another Game Rant report, “Rise of the Tomb Raider” is also set to launch exclusively for the Xbox One. Crystal Dynamics enhanced the game graphics and gameplay based on the trailer. The game will also keep the upgrade approaches of the base camps and players will be able to master new skills and craft ammo. There will be customizable play styles for main protagonist Lara Croft. The video featured Croft taking down enemies in various ways, making use of different tools and weapons. The game will launch on November 10, 2015 for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One. The game will only release for the PC early in 2016 and on the PlayStation 4 in the holiday season of 2016.

Square Enix also featured a new trailer for the upcoming game “Final Fantasy XV”, which showed events 15 years before the main story in the game. Game Spot reported that the video featured a young Lunafreya, Noctis and Regis. The release date was not shown in the clip but an official announcement is expected in a few days.
