Ashlee Simpson, Evan Ross Reveal Newborn Baby's Rockstar-Inpired Name

Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross have brought a bouncing baby girl into this world and have given her a name fitting for her musical parents -- Jagger Snow Ross. 

Can the unusual name be possibly inspired by the great Mick Jagger of The Rolling Stones? Considering the child's mom and dad, the answer is likely yes.

The couple unveiled their baby's name via social media. The "Pieces of Me" singer took to her Instagram account on Friday to share a message in cursive lettering: "We are overjoyed about the birth of our precious baby girl Jagger Snow Ross, July 30, 2015 - Ashlee & Evan."

The image was dedicated to Simpson's husband and daughter, captioning, "@realevanross I love you #JaggerSnowRoss we love you." It received over 10,000 likes and 480 comments so far.

The son of Diana Ross made the same post, penning to his wife and baby girl.

In June, Ross divulged to PEOPLE that he and his wife already chose a name for their child, and it was going to be quite "unique."

"Yeah, it's unique. You guys will figure out the story behind it once we tell the name," he gushed.

E! News also exclusively learned that the name had been on the top of the pair's list for awhile: "The couple had their minds set on this name for a long time. They wanted something fun and different."

On the health and well-being of the blonde crooner, a source informed PEOPLE, "Ashlee is doing amazing and their daughter is perfect. She's gorgeous!" 

Baby Jagger Snow was born on Thursday and joins the blended family as sister to Bronx, Simpson's first son with ex-husband, Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy.

Ross told E! News although the family is blended, they are doing well. "I love Bronx more than anything, he's the greatest kid in the world and his father is amazing," he said. "Everybody has a great relationship. We're just all a big family."

It is no surprise the couple would choose a name that reflected their musical backgrounds. Simpson, sister of singer Jessica Simpson is most remembered for her pop-rock hits, "Pieces of Me," "La La" and "Boyfriend."

Ross, who is known for his role in the "Hunger Games" trilogy, currently has his first single single out, titled "How to Live Alone" featuring T.I.

The two tied the knot in September 2014 at Diana Ross' estate, where the legendary diva also was the officiant for the wedding.
