Game developer Bethesda announced that the “Fallout Anthology” pack will release for the PC. The collection will feature every game in the franchise release so far, as well as other bonuses.

IGN.com reported that Pete Hines made the announcement of the “Fallout Anthology” pack for the PC at QuakeCon 2015 on July 23.

The pack will include five titles, namely, “Fallout”, “Fallout 2”, “Fallout Tactics”, “Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition” and “Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition”. All of the games will be placed inside a Fat Man mini-nuke replica. All expansions and DLC will be part of the release. There is also extra space saved for a “Fallout 4” game disc. The “Fallout Anthology” pack will be available on September 29, 2015 in North America. It will also be released in Australia on October 1 and in Europe on October 2. The package will sell for $50 in the United States.

“Fallout 3” and “Fallout: New Vegas” were only released on consoles, while the other three were playable only on PC. The new pack is for PC only, so Bethesda may not be too keen on converting all five games for console gamers. Despite the lack of availability of the collection for consoles, Xbox One owners can acquire a free copy of “Fallout 3” if they purchase “Fallout 4” from the Xbox Store. The Xbox 360 version of the game will also be playable via the new backward compatibility of the Xbox One. The feature is currently in the testing phase and being tried by members of the Preview Program.

Inquisitr wrote that previously, Bethesda also launched an anthology collection for “The Elder Scrolls”. The package became available in 2013 after the release of “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim”. It included five games and physical maps and retailed at $50 as well.

Mashable wrote that the first version of the game, “Fallout”, was released in 1997 by Interplay Entertainment, while “Fallout 2” launched a year later. “Fallout Tactics” became available in 2001. “Fallout 3” released in 2008, while “Fallout: New Vegas” launched in 2010. Gamers will find that several elements remain consistent throughout the franchise, such as an exploration-focused world, an open-ended story and sophisticated characters. The gameplay tends to change as the series continues, however. The sixth game in the series, “Fallout 4”, is slated for a November 2015 release.

More details and updates on the “Fallout Anthology” collection are expected to surface in the coming weeks.
