Barcelona suffered its first major defeat of the season when it dropped a 2-1 decision to Celtic in the Champions League.

They would have been shut out if not for a late Lionel Messi goal as the Argentine scored for the first time in four UCL matches. Argentina dominated possession and had a plethora of chances, but wasted them all and looked susceptible on the backend. Their loss will obviously inspire confidence in upcoming opponents who will look to emulate Celtic's tactics in hopes of stealing points away from Spain's top team. The match against Celtic proved that without Messi being on fire, Barcelona still has problems putting the ball in the back of the net. This puts the onus on other top players like David Villa and Alexis Sanchez to step up and put some balls in the net in order to free up Messi.

Mallorca resides in 13th place on the table with just three wins, two draws, and five losses in ten matches. They will be playing at home against Barcelona, which is fortunate for them since they have not won a single game on the road. They have scored 10 goals and allowed 15, but eight of those goals against have come at home. Andreu Fonta will be making his debut for the home squad.

Prediction: Barcelona should win this easily 3-0.
