WWE Battleground is just a couple of days away and many wrestling fans are eager to see how the set matches will turn out.

Seth Rollins vs Brock Lesnar

Various rumors have been coming out but perhaps the most awaited tiff is the one that involves WWE Heavyweight champion Seth Rollins and Brock Lesnar.

Lesnar lost the title at Wrestlemania 31 when Rollins cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase. Lesnar was in the middle of a grueling battle with Roman Reigns at that time and with both stars battered, such became the perfect opportunity for Rollins to take advantage.

Rollins won the title after a curb stomp on Reigns. Take note, he did not technically defeat Lesnar, a privilege that the MOTB carries.

After shunning Lesnar the night after on WWE RAW, Rollins will now have to face reality and battle the Beast Incarnate. On normal circumstances, odds are Lesnar would be the overwhelming favorite.

As everyone knows, however, there are outside factors to consider. Being a normal match, Rollins is expected to use DQ as a means to retain the title. Hence, Rollins may lose the match but not the title and it seems that this will most likely be the scenario come Sunday at St. Louis.

John Cena vs Kevin Owens

The feud continues for John Cena and Kevin Owens but this time, the United States title is on the line. This encounter is expected to be highly physical and is something seen to be more important to Owens after losing his WWE NXT title to Finn Balor.

Owens could end up with the title though there could be some outside interference. Take note that two wrestlers who are also eyeing the title are Rusev and Cesaro so fans may want to keep an eye out for these two for possible interference.

If so, it could work both ways. It may end up in favor of Owens if planned perfectly or cost Owens the title if tilted in his favor.

However, if we go about the numbers and the course of this feud, we could see Owens winning the title. He is without a belt and is obviously hungry to become champion and chances are this feud will carry on to WWE Summer Slam with Cesaro perhaps injected into the mix. Triple Threat match for the United States title at WWE SummerSlam this August? Highly possible.

Roman Reigns vs Bray Wyatt

Assuming that Rollins is destined to retain his title, Reigns could be held up in this storyline feud with Wyatt for now. With fans believing that Reigns is benefitting from Wyatt’s heel character, chances are Reigns rise could be put on hold for now.

Seeing the rage Reigns has right now due to Wyatt’s constant mind games, this match could end up in a no-contest or double DQ. Will there be outside interference? Leave a little room for the Lunatic Fringe – Dean Ambrose.

New Day vs Primetime Players

Will the New Day pull off a fast one against the Primetime Players? With the numbers in favor of New Day, the title could possibly change hands with the non-competitor doing something to make it happen.

Other matches

There are other matches such as the one between King Barrett and R.R. Truth but chances are Truth could come out on top again unless he does a miscalculated maneuver to hand Barrett the victory.

There is also that match between Randy Orton and Sheamus. With nothing much at stake, Sheamus seems to be the favorite to come out on top of the Viper.

Will any of these predictions hold true?

WWE Battleground kicks off this Sunday, July 19, at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis Missouri 8 p.m. ET and 5 p.m. PT. The PPV can be viewed live via the WWE Network.
