An unknown device surfaced from LG recently, which spurred speculation from fans. While there is still no confirmation on what it is, the handset is said to be either the upcoming LG Nexus 5 (2015) or the LG G4 Pro.

Previously, it was revealed that LG and Huawei are developing their own versions of the Nexus smartphone. LG will reportedly focus on the successor of the Nexus 5 (2013), while Huawei is geared towards creating a new device to follow the Nexus 6.

Geekbench reported that a new device from LG called LGE LG-F600L, which was consistent with the LG G4’s model number F500L, has appeared. The device features a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 and 4GB of RAM, which results in a score of 1,082 (Single-Core) and 3,298 (Multi-Core). This make is quite the same as what the LG G4 already has. The information also showed that the device will operate on the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box. The details, thus, triggered speculation from users that the new device might be the new Nexus 5 (2015) or the LG G4 Pro.

LG previously announced that they will release a new flagship device in the second half of 2015. Cho Jun-ho, LG CEO of mobile business, was interviewed by Korea Herald in March 2015. He shared that the new product is said to be better than the existing LG G4 and will retail over $819. The new product is preparing to compete against the Samsung Note products that will release late in 2015. LG may feature powerful displays and improved stylus functionality to adequately challenge Samsung.

Tech Times wrote that the LG G4 Pro may feature a 5.8-inch screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 and have an all-metal body. The device may also include 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, 64GB of internal memory, a powerful 27-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel rear shooter. The device was rumored to release in October 2015.

Phone Arena previously stated that the LG Nexus 5, called “Bullhead,” will feature a 5.2-inch display, a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, and a 2700mAh battery. Huawei will reportedly make the more powerful version with a 5.7-inch screen, Snapdragon 810 processor and a 3500mAh battery. The two models are said to up for launch in October 2015.

Users can only wait for confirmation from LG whether the leaked information truly refers to the Nexus 5 or G4 Pro. More details and specifications about the upcoming phones are set to surface in the following weeks.
