Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale will no doubt be a major success for the Playstation 3.
According to Siliconera, the title was originally nothing more than a Capture the Flag title in which some of the characters were runners who would capture the flag and take it back to the base while other characters played as defenders and others as mid-range attackers. For example, Parappa was a runner, Sweet Tooth was a defender and Kratos was a mid-range attacker. Eventually the developers settled on a fighting game and a single screen title.
Sir Daniel Fortesque is the protagonist of MediEvil and is a skeletal night brought back to life by a dark sorcerer. The hero was last seen in 2005's MediEvil Resurrection for the PSP.
His square attacks and descriptions:
(Regular Square) Hero Sword Slash: A single slash from Sir Daniel's sword. Tapping the square to get a 3 hit combo ending with an overhead slam that flattens enemies.
(Forward Square) Hero Sword Thrust: A forward thrust that allows him to close on enemies. Charging the move enables him to increase his movement and the effects of the attack.
(Up Square) Hero Sword Uppercut: Lifts enemies into the air for further punishment.
(Down Square) Magic Sword Spin: A 360 flat spin hits enemies in front and behind Sir Daniel.
Air Square Attacks
(Square in the Air): Hero Sword Slam: Overhead sword slam that sends enemies crashing into the ground.
(Forward Square in the Air) Hero Sword Air Thrust: A non chargeable air thrust.
(Up Square in the Air) Hero Sword Air Cut: An air version of the uppercut.
(Down Square in the Air) Magic Sword Air Spin: A vertical spin that hits enemies in an arc below Sir Daniel.
Triangle Attacks and Descriptions
(Triangle on ground) Battle Axe-a-rang: Sir Daniel throws his axe which returns after a short time of collision with an enemies.
(Forward) Charge: He charges forward. Holding the triangle button allows him to charge for longer distances. Having the shielf equipped while doing this attack, protects Sir Daniel and impacts more effectively.
(Up) Magic Bow: He fires a magic arrow into the sky.
(Down) Hammer Smash: He smashes his hammer into the ground and knocks down enemies that are close.
Air Triangle Attacks
(Air Triangle) Air Battle Axe-a-rang: Sir Daniel throws his axe which returns after a short time of collision with an enemies.
(Forward) Aerial Charge: He charges forward.
(Up) Aerial Magic Bow: He fires a magic arrow into the sky.
(Down) Aerial Magic Bow: He fires a magic arrow into the sky.
Circle Attacks and Descriptions
(Circle) Golden Shield: He equips his shield to protect him from attacks when he is not attacking.
(Forward) Green Hand: He places his head on his green hand which stuns enemies upon contact.
(Up) Drumstick Toss: Throws a drumstick that arches in the air.
(Down) Dragon Potion: He drinks a dragon potion and breathes fire which lights up the ground below him.
Air Circle Attacks
(Air Circle) Golden Shield: He equips his shield to protect him from attacks when he is not attacking.
(Forward) Green Hand Toss: He places his head on his green hand which stuns enemies upon contact.
(Up) Drumstick Air Toss: Throws a drumstick that arches in the air.
(Down) Aerial Dragon Potion: He drinks a dragon potion and breathes fire which lights up the ground below him
His first super is called Lightning Bolt. He aims a lightning bolt that gets rid of enemies.
His level two super is Golden Challace which releases the spirits of his vanquished enemies stored in the Chalice. They will kill enemies upon contact. The final Super is Anubis Stone and it creates an orb around Sir Daniel that damages and kills opponents that make contact with it.
