On October 29, Google will officially unveil the Nexus 4 smartphone at an event in New York City, reports CNET.

According to the site's unnamed source, the device will run on a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm SnapDragon S4 processor, maintain 8GB of onboard storage, and hold 2 gigabytes of RAM. The 4.7-inch touch screen will display at a resolution of 1,280x768. The 9.1mm thick smartphone also features Near Field communications capabilities, and will run on the Android Jelly Bean operating system. However, the Nexus 4 will not sport a microSD expansion slot.

The smartphone was originally unveiled by Carphone Warehouse, a UK phone retailer. The site assures a release date of October 30th, and will be supported by both O2 and Vodafone.

The Verge was sent an image of the Warehouse's inventory system, which set the price of both white and black SIM-free versions versions of the phone at £389.95

Consumers may also opt for subsidized plans, which offer the phone for free at a subscription of £31/month.

The site asserts that Gesture Typing is a likely feature in the Nexus 4.

The listing, which has since been taken down, also mentioned a 360-degree camera and an on-screen render, according to Engadget.

In the tradition of the iPad mini, iPhone 5, and numerous other devices in recent tech history, press events merely serve as confirmation of already leaked information. Information is traveling more freely than ever, and secrets are a dying breed.
