Pepper Potts to Die in 'Iron Man 4'? Release Date, Cast, Plot, & Spoilers Here!

Pepper Potts, a role played by actress Gwyneth Paltrow, is said to die in the rumored upcoming movie "Iron Man 4." The news comes from Venture Capital Post.

"[G]wyneth Paltrow might not be available for an 'Iron Man 5' movie due to rumors of her character's death in the upcoming movie franchise. 'Iron Man 4' might be the conclusive movie that will end the life of the lady that has Iron Man's heart, Pepper Potts. Just like the earlier movies of the franchise, her life has been constantly put into the edge. In the latest movie, she even had to endure becoming a subject of the Extremist experiments,"said VC Post.

The report added that Potts' character might have already reached its end in the fourth movie along with the arrival of new villains and the return of some old ones. It was also rumored that this could lead Tony Stark to leave the Earth.

As for the movie's plot, Comic Book Movie speculated that the "Iron Man 4" would start with the political aftermath of "Avengers: Age of Ultron." According to Dr. Doom, many changes would happen to Tony Stark. In particular, Stark Industries would be scrutinized after it has been learned that Ultron was Tony's creation. This will lead to the resignation of Tony Stark, leaving Pepper Potts in charge. Potts then demands Tony to leave, to which the latter would agree to.

"With Pepper as the sole owner of Stark Industries, she tries her best to salvage the company in the eyes of the public. At least a good ten minutes of the film is devoted to her own personal struggle of both needing and needing to reject Tony, as well as her own ethical and philosophical internal conflicts. She goes through a period of existential crisis, where she feels that despite breaking off contact with Tony, she still exists solely in his shadow; a woman dedicated to saving a company with whom she will only be marginally associated due to the persona of Tony Stark hanging over its head."

Then a company called "Baintronics" comes out. It is headed by Sunset Bain who publicly denounces the so called "Ultron Incident." But Sunset's business is somewhat connected to the illegal manufacturing of weapons and is involved in the selling of stolen technology to terrorists. But it will be revealed that Tony has already learned about Baintronics and he is trying to investigate them. Dr. Doom says that the movie ends with a showdown between Baintronics and Tony which will endanger and cost the life of Pepper.

Everything remains speculations at the moment as we have reported earlier that there are still uncertainties about the movie happening and about Robert Downey Jr. reprising the lead role. However, we also reported back in January that 13-year-old Ty Simpkins would be the new Iron Man, citing the claims of Movie Pilot. The news outlet also speculates that the new movie has been set for a 2019 release.
