New Chrononauts comic cover is something else. Yes, and it's because its creators Sean Gordon Murphy and Mark Millar decided to bet on an optical illusion only 1 in 15 people can see.

A semi-rare sporadic form of color-blindness due to abnormal wiring in occipital lobe let only a few to see a green hourglass on a purple background instead of the broken watch.

"It affects around 1 in 15 people and is a variant of synaesthesia which a university helped me develop the multiple color overlays," Murphy commented on Twitter. "What's interesting is the artistic brains--they're all right-brain dominant which means artists, musicians, writers more likely to."
