When are we going to see the next iPad Mini 4? Christian Post reported several tech news outlets are pointing out that Apple would unveil its next iPad tablet this April. Its official market release, it says, would have to fall on the month of September. Note that it is just less than a year since the latest iPad Mini 3 was released.

According to Christian Post, the next iPad Mini 4 would boast of its powerful A8 processor and of the 802.11ac connectivity feature. However, Gotta Be Mobile said it would be much better than that as the new tablet would get a more advanced A9 processor plus a 2 GB RAM.

Another contradicting speculation, News Everyday said that the device's processor would likely just be an A8X processor, similar to that of the iPad Air 2.

Despite the unconfirmed and contradicting rumors about the upcoming tablet, Venture Capital Post says that, "The iPad Mini 4 will live up to the supposedly specs for the iPad Mini 3."

It also added that the next iPad Mini 4 would have a laminated screen, a feature also found on the iPad Mini 2. The laminated screen, it noted, would make the device "more solid and cut off from internal reflections." However, there are calls from fans of making the new device with an "anti-reflective coating."

Earlier, it was expected that the next iPad Mini would be unveiled during the previous "Spring Forward" event. However, it did not come out. Instead, the Apple products which were unveiled were the Apple Watch and gold Retina MacBook Pro.

Previously, we have reported earlier that there are rumors saying that the new Apple Mini tablet would have a design similar to the iPad Air 2. As for specs, there are speculations that it would have a 12.2-inch display, which is similar to the iPad Air 2. It is also said that the new tablet would have dual speakers at the top and bottom, an Adrena 420 chipset, and iOS 8 or iOS 9. As for the camera, it is said to get an 8 megapixel main camera and 1.2 megapixel front camera. It is also likely that users can choose on 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB variants. It is also likely that it would have a Touch ID fingerprint sensor.

As for the price, PC Advisor estimates it would be at £319. It is said that the new iPad Mini 4 would compete with the rumored Surface Pro Mini which is expected to feature an 8-inch or 10.1-inch display. But the International Business Times said the Microsoft device was earlier scheduled in 2012 but it was cancelled.
