WWE News: Brock Lesnar to Unify UFC, WWE Titles [Rumors]

Brock Lesnar is attempting to get the best of both worlds.

BloodyElbow reported that on Monday Night RAW on March 9, Paul Heyman, Lesnar's advisor, talked about Brock's plans in the summer. Particularly, it might be possible for the Beast Incarnate to be the first to unify the WWE and UFC titles. For months, fans of both the UFC and WWE have been speculating whether Brock was truly leaving the WWE to return to the Octagon. He was spotted beside UFC president Dana White at UFC 184 causing rumors that he will be fighting for the heavyweight belt again.

WWE posted a video on YouTube where Heyman revealed Lesnar's plans.

"If Brock Lesnar wants to spend his summer unifying the WWE and UFC titles, that's what he's gonna do," Heyman told the crowd."

He continued, "This title no longer belongs to WWE, this title belongs to Brock Lesnar. It's his. And he's not giving it back."

Fox Sports reported that Heyman's statements are most likely approved by WWE and the organization already knew what he was going to say before they went onstage, considering how WWE is scripted entertainment and wrestlers do not generally make bold statements without getting clearance from top management first.

Lesnar's relationship and contract negotiations with WWE have been in question for the past several weeks but whenever his deal is about to come to an end, WWE manages to make another one good enough for him to re-sign.

WWE is offering Lesnar guaranteed cash. He can reign long in the organization and the recent statements of Heyman somehow imply that he is getting close to extending his contract with them. His future in the UFC still appears promising, but he will not have the same benefit especially if he loses another fight. In the same report by Fox Sports, UFC will do much to try to build up Lesnar, who used to be their biggest draw. However, UFC is real fighting and the 37-year-old can only do so much to determine whether he can regain his title or not.

Deadspin reported that Lesnar left WWE for UFC before and acquired the heavyweight championship title before losing to Cain Velasquez and Alistair Overeem. He exited UFC to return to WWE. Fans will learn more about his decision as WrestleMania 31 draws closer. Brock is set to defend the WWE World Heavyweight title against Roman Reigns at the grand event.
