NFL News: Tim Tebow Training for a Comeback? [Rumors]

Former quarterback Tim Tebow has not played in the NFL for two years but he might just make a return to the field soon.

Bleacher Report wrote that Tebow is currently training with Tom House, personal coach of quarterback Tom Brady. Boston Globe reported that Tebow and House have been working hard while the former was out of the NFL to improve his football skills and hopefully make a comeback.

House said that "he (Tebow) went from being a little inaccurate and didn't throw a lot of spirals, to throwing very accurate and real good at spinning the ball."

House said that he is not yet sure whether Tebow will be joining the first-ever veteran's scouting combine on March 22, 2015 at the Arizona Cardinals facility in Phoenix but said that Tebow's throwing improved a lot and he is currently very accurate and adept at spinning the ball. The NFL owners' meetings will also be held in Phoenix from March 22 to 24, based on a report by 247Sports.

The veteran scouting combine is a new event in the NFL, which allows both veterans and free agents to feature their skills on the field and possibly be acquired by potential teams.

The 27-year-old Tebow will be one of the biggest names during the event if he decides to join. There will be about 100 veteran free agents chosen to participate through an application process, based on a report by Sports Illustrated. Other players who will be at the Combine will be Vince Young and Michael Sam. More names will emerge after free agency begins on March 10.

Tebow is currently working as a college football analyst on the SEC network on ESPN. The former Heisman trophy winner played three full seasons in the NFL. He was a quarterback for the Denver Broncos and New York Jets. He had the opportunity to play with Brady and the New England Patriots but was released shortly after his acquisition in 2013. During his tenure, he threw 2,422 yards, 17 touchdowns and nine interceptions. He only completed 48 percent of his passes but managed to lead the Broncos to win over the Pittsburgh Steelers at the 2011 playoffs, based on the same report by Sports Illustrated.

Since his departure from the NFL, Tebow has maintained that he plans to return to the field and regularly trained to be acquired by any of the 32 teams. The veteran's combine will be his final chance to prove that he deserves to.
