Activision has confirmed that "Call of Duty 2015" is in the works and will feature another developer among other things.

Inquistr reported that Activision cycles through a team of developers for every game in the "Call of Duty" franchise. In 2014, Sledgehammer Games developed the game title. For the 2015 version, Treyarch will reportedly be the main developer. Treyarch is also the team responsible for other popular gaming titles such as "Black Ops", "Black Ops 2", "World At War" and "Call of Duty 3".

Gamers immediately shared their ideas on forums and social media networks on the features they wish to have in the new title. Below are the top five features that fans of the franchise are requesting for to be in the game.

1. Weapon improvements

"Call of Duty" enthusiasts requested for a wider range of weapons. Adding the Firing Range was a good idea which game developers should continue in the following titles. Players enjoyed testing new weapons and also served as a productive way for others to wait while others finished matches.

2. Back to basics

Treyarch previously posted on its Facebook page, "December 7, 1941...a date which will live in infamy - Franklin Delano Roosevelt". The message gave gamers a lot of hints that the upcoming "COD 2015" will have an old-school setting. The Exo Suits featured in "Advanced Warfare" was positive news for many players, but others said that these may have also compromised the game in many ways. The upcoming title might get a better response from gamers if they go back to the basics.

3. Bring back tactical gameplay

CraveOnline reported that the tactical gameplay that "COD" was popular for was removed in "Advanced Warfare". Thus, online matches transformed into mere shoot-and-blast experiences that did not require much skill or thought. Players expect the new title to go for a slower pace and feature more tactical equipment and gameplay that bring out the best of "Call of Duty" games.

4. Star power

One of the biggest pulls of "Advanced Warfare" was the presence of actor Kevin Spacey in the storyline. In the same report by CraveOnline, gamers suggested that developers should continue to bring in popular stars in the campaign who can make the scenes more interesting. The graphics experts will need to improve the virtual eyes, though.

5. Better network

Some players of the game feel like the complicated peer-to-peer hybrid infrastracture in "Advanced Warfare" is not very reliable. And while they commend the launch of the game, some are not so excited with its lag which makes it hard for them to fully invest in the game the way they want to.

Activision has yet to announce the official launch date of "Call of Duty 2015". More details and sneak peeks are expected in the coming months.
