The recent release of Apple's iPhone 5 has led developers to produce various cases for the device.
The developer's want to sell a unique product and the buyer's want to own something different creates a high supply various types of iPhone cases.
Besides, you want something to protect your new phone you just spent hundreds of dollars on.
Apple didn't list any iPhone 5 cases when it launched its new phone.
"This is departure from the standard Apple launch that includes some kind of Apple case and a few third party cases, but it is the first real re-design of the iPhone in two years," said GottaBeMobile.com blogger Josh Smith, according to the Huffington Post. "Many manufacturers waited to see the iPhone 5 and download the exact measurements before starting design and production of iPhone 5 cases."
That didn't stop other companies from manufacturing and profiting off of the iPhone 5. It seems there is a phone case resembling just about everything from mermaids, to trees, to notebooks and even plus sockets.
