The one-night-only vice presidential debate is over and the reviews are in on how the candidates performed.

Vice President Joe Biden debated against Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan for 90-minutes with the moderation of senior foreign correspondent Martha Raddatz of ABC News at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky.

The theme of the debate was foreign and domestic policy, a mixture of the first and third presidential debate themes.

What they're saying about Vice President Joe Biden:

NBC News' Chuck Todd, Mark Murray, and Domenico Montanaro agree that, "If there was something both sides agreed on last night, it was this: Joe Biden was aggressive at last night's vice-presidential debate."

They added, "They both accomplished their goals but did it with two very different styles: It was Scranton Joe vs. Think Tank Ryan. Heart vs. head. And as political commentator Matthew Dowd, who worked for the Bush campaign but for Democrats before that put it on Twitter: 'Heart wins.'"

Business Week reported, "While Biden often referred to Ryan as 'my friend,' it was significantly more adversarial than the debate last week between Obama and Republican nominee Mitt Romney."

According to former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, speaking to Fox News this morning, said, ""I thought Joe Biden came across like a guy you meet at a cocktail party or some political event, an obnoxious drunk who's loud and boisterous and interrupts every conversation."

What they're saying about Congressman Paul Ryan:

NBC News noted, "Where Ryan struggled the most, interestingly, was on abortion. And don't be surprised if we see Obama pick up the same attack."

According to the Associated Press, Ann Romney, wife of Mitt Romney, said Ryan did a "great job."

The Atlantic noted Ryan made good points during the debate about Libya, but "Unfortunately, Ryan failed to call the Obama Administration on any of the most egregious flaws in its foreign policy, because Republicans agree with most of them."

CNN's Alan Schroeder reported the debate was "like a father-son brawl.

He added, [Ryan] has a specific argument to make, and he fleshes out that argument clearly and logically. Ryan also delivers the material in an effective way. You can see his face become more animated as he speaks, and he uses simple rhetoric to express his doubts about the Obama administration's handling of the killing of the U.S. ambassador to Libya."

The thoughts on Moderator Martha Raddatz:

Former Deputy Chief of Staff to President George W. Bush, Karl Rove, tweeted: "I miss Jim Lehrer."

Conservative commentator Laura Ingraham also tweeted her thoughts on the debate, "Biden SHOULD thank Martha."

The Huffington Post noted the reactions of CNN's Soledad O'Brien and Wolf Blitzer and MSNBC's Chris Matthews.

"On CNN, Soledad O'Brien called Raddatz 'absolutely masterful.' Wolf Blitzer said she did an 'excellent, excellent job.' Chris Matthews called Raddatz 'wonderful.'"

Dan Gainor of Fox News wrote, "The 2012 vice presidential debate was sometimes a 2-on-1 fight, with Biden and moderator Martha Raddatz both interrupting Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan repeatedly."

What did you think of Biden, Ryan, and Raddatz performance?
