Kanye West Follows Kim Kardashian's Steps by Making a Video Game?

Kim Kardashian probably has a huge impact on Kanye West after being together since West seemed to be following her footsteps from fashion, and now, to game development, GameSpot reported.

During the rapper's appearance on Power 105.1's "The Breakfast Club" radio show, he talked about his collaboration with Adidas on his fashion line. He also revealed that he is currently working to create a "video game based on one of his songs."

"Right now I'm working on a video game for 'Only One,' and the idea is that it's my mother going through the gates of heaven and you have to bring her to the highest gates of heaven by holding her to the light," said West. "We've been working on it for six months."

There is no official title and release date for the game yet, nor has it been disclosed on what platforms it is for and who will be developing it. The father-of-one also did not reveal the development status of the game, according to The Verge.

However, West could not be all that clueless with game development. A Reddit user claimed that West disclosed in an interview that "he actually...started out trying to be a game developer when he was young, so his mom brought him a few programs, one of which was music making program, and he would apparently spen[d] a bunch of time on that and that's how he got into music. It all comes full circle I guess."

Other people were skeptic of West's project.

"Ok, so I hear this a lot about Kanye and I'm pretty skeptical as to how true the whole Mario mod thing actually is. The only real thing that we have to go on in terms of validity is Kanye's word," wrote Anonymous67 who also pointed out to West's personal quote on the story.

"My game was very sexual. The main character was, like, a giant penis. It was like Mario Brothers, but the ghosts were, like, vaginas. Mind you, I'm 12 years old, and this is stuff 30-year-olds are programming. You'd have to draw in and program every little step - it literally took me all night to do a step, 'cause the penis, y'know, had little feet and eyes," West said when he told the radio show about his previous game project when he was just 12 years old, according to Kotaku.

On a different note, another user pointed out objectively why West's game project could fail.

"I'm not a Kanye West fan but I can understand wanting to do something like this. I think the project may be a bit too personal for him to be subjective enough to give it a broader appeal. In the end though I think if he believes he did his mom proud it'll be worth whatever money he put into the project even if the only copy he sells is to himself. Kanye ain't going hungry if this flops hard," wrote BonerOfNostalgia.

Kanye West has been putting his efforts on a lot of projects this year. First, he had a collaboration with Paul McCartney. Then, he stormed the fashion world with his Adidas-partnered line. Now, he is planning to release a video game about his mom.
